PART TWO - THE SOUTHEAST

Day 31, April 2: WASHINGTON DC

We’ve reached the East Coast!
It took us 31 days to get here.
We’ve traveled 3,014 miles towing the trailer and an additional 1,553 miles on the Ford sightseeing.
We have visited 10 states,
23 towns and cities,
5 National and State Parks,
3 Museums,
2 Gardens,
6 Zoos, and
13 Other Attractions.

We are now starting PART TWO of our Trailer Tripping adventure. Over the next month and a half we will be exploring the Mid Atlantic states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Off the coast of Virgina we will visit Chincoteague Island and Assateague Island to see the wild horses. We will travel the 469 mile Blue Ridge Parkway from Shenandoah National Park through Virginia and North Carolina, ending at the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. We will then head South into South Carolina, Georgia and into Florida to spend some time with family.

Part Two starts with the Cherry Blossom Festivals in our Nation’s Capital. We will be spending 10 days in the Washington DC area. On Day 41 we will head South.
